Blanket explores customization as parametric variations of a single topological structure. It is a triangulated system that can transform from a two-dimensional into a three-dimensional surface. Blanket has been developed through a series of physical models of flexible joints that are linked to mathematical and computational modeling. It investigates form generation in relation to local parameters, such as site topography, weather phenomena, and cultural events. Blanket III, is a folded metal canopy and at the same time model for a temporal open-air pavilion that engages the surroundings and ever-changing conditions.
